plantroom is an indie rock band from Boone, NC. Their music draws inspiration from a wide range of influences, but is best described as a fusion of indie rock and emo, enhanced with flavors of cello. The band is composed of Trent Joura on lead guitar and vocals, Audrey Lomax on vocals, cello, and rhythm guitar, and Levi Phillips on bass. Beginning by playing shows in Asheboro, the hometown of Trent and Levi, the band gradually built a fanbase and began performing at numerous venues across North Carolina. In 2023, the band released their first single, “Spiderkiller.” The song features Bailey McCowan on the drums, and was recorded and mixed independently. The band plans to record a full-length EP in the fall.
